Hi, does anyone know where I can get the ten spoke wheels for my vw. I've been looking and looking and calling and calling and either no one has heard of them or they don't know where I can get them. I live in maryland and am willing to drive out of state if I have to. By the way, the ten spoke wheel is the original wheels that came with my 72 vw. Any help would be greatly apprecciated.

I may wrong, but I've never seen a stock wheel like that on a '72 Beetle. I've seen the stock silver rim with VW hubcap and the Sport Wheel with the black center cap and black nut covers, but nothins like that. It looks to me like that may be off a newer VW (or some other car) and the VW center cap was added.

These are rims off a Marathon beetle and I found you a set on SAMBA for $100.  They need a little help but they look okay.  Go to this site:

Good luck and they are supposed to be OEM VW rims.

This thread must be in the forum twice, as I stated in my other post that I found these wheels on the Baja SE at http://www.sebeetles.com and they are in fact an OEM wheel.

Janet, go for that set at the Samba, it's a great deal if they're in good shape. You could always have refinished if they're rusted.

You are very Lucky people in North America

Nice wheels like that for $100....

I just missed out on some nice brand new Riveria wheels which are a copy of the 914 wheels...

but I think they look better then the porsche wheels.... $850 with New 185 x 15 tires...

worth about $1400-00 over here...

I'll just keep looking and saving....

I had those on my 73 1303. They had been powder coated by the last owner. I traded them about two weeks for a newly redone back seat bottom and back. I think it was a fair trade. I like trading stuff rather than buying than selling. You get to pick through parts hords and it just works out better. Great way to source stuff for your mates too. Wish I had seen this post earlier though.
