Okay, I did a search for speedo rebuild, and there was mention of an article to rebulid it yourself. Does anyone know anything about it?

Thanks a bunch! I found that very helpful. Fortunately, I didn't need to replace any gears inside the speedo, and it already had a brass gear on the odometer, I just had to pack the magnet part with grease so it would stop screaming and breaking speedo cables left and right.
