here are a few pics of my 73 super, the car looks rough, that because it sat for about 8 years under a tree. believe it or not the only bad spot is the battery tray. note the head lights in the first pic. they are the aftermarket jc whitney composite that takes the bulb from the back side.

there great, priced cheap , easy to install. no modifications ,uses the oe retaining ring. i used silver star brand bulbs, a night and day difference. well worth the money . here is a shortcut to jcw,

Was the sunroof in when you bought it or did you install it,

I have a 73 Super with the metal sunroof have been debating 

if I should repair the original one (needs cables and plastic pieces)

or pull it and go with one like whats on your....?

actually, my older brother owned the car before me . it didn't have a sunroof origionaly, that is a 15 year old jc whitney order. easy to install. just don't do it wher your drunk, like we did. it is 1/8" off to one side.  haa haa haa.

I wouldn't hack up the roof of a sunroof VW they are getting rarer everyday

I'd fix the original sunroof
