So today I finally broke down and bought a petronix full electronic ignition from the coil to the inside of the distributor. So I put it all in started it up and ran great.. so i was like welp time to time this baby ^_^;;;.. yeah didn't go so well. I set it to stock timeing and it won't idle long enough to set it if i go down close to the stock timing. I did set the spark plugs at a large gap since I read that you can to .03 maybe to large?... The coil is supposed to be 40,000v petronix coil. So I got 2 q's.. should the timing have to be 10 degrees hotter to get the thing to run right.. and should i ungap the plugs back to complete and total stock?

Also its a double vac advance distrib since i didn't mention that..

I have the complete Pertronix set in my Super. The only change from the stock settings I did was to open the plugs .03 more than the stock gap.

I figured it out.. the plug on my intake that I had that originally was supposed to be hooked to the oil bath breather's top had the screw/rubber hose fell out.. now it tunes perfectly..
