update:it is now after lunch , she is running sweet, already test ran it , roasted the tires off, i'm totaly hooked on duel carbs now!!!

I presume the twin Carburetors made a big difference...

I have a set, but don't have the manifolds for single port heads..

One of the locals who has had Beetles since the 60s...

does his valves to .008  ....

and does them regular too....

Maybe some insurance....

 

glad to see everyone's cars are now going OK...

 

Paint can keep your engine going great.... too..... lol

Hearing stuff like this always makes me want duals.

1600cc biggest most powerful engine for a stock beetle. Power house!:) Smokes the tires in first in the rain
