We have Rattlesnakes, Scorpions, Bobcats, Javelina, Coyotes, Coral Snakes, Turrantulas, Africanized Killer Bees and these.  They can be up to 7' long not including their 3' tales and weigh up to 200 pounds.  This one showed up in a neighbors yard.  The Bobcat is actually worse pound for pound and a golfer had to kill one with a 9 iron last year on one of the golf courses. Thes big cats generally will leave you alone, but will eat your pets.
I know this doesn't have anything to do with VW Bugs, but its interesting none the less.

and i thought We had many dangerous things living in Australia

but as far as i know, My dogs are safe..

No big dog eating cats over here....

just deadly snakes and spiders

plenty of Kangaroos... but

Kangaroos don't eat pets....

only grass....

we have bobcats out here in va. where i live , you can hear therm holler some noghts, it is enough to make your skin crawl. i also have black bear where i live . i found out one night the hard way. i have a dog that stay outside in a dog house in the back yard just outside my back door to the house, it was about 11 pm and he started barking and growling bloddy murder(which is very unusual). i got out of bed to see what was going on , my outside motion flood lights wern't on , so i stepped on the back porch , the light came on and a 200 -250 lbs black bear was eating the dog food right in front of the dog but didn't care about either of us, when he was done he snooped around for a little while and then left
needless to say it scared the living sh1t out of me

I'm just glad He ate the DOG FOOD

and Not the dog...

Lucky I guess , that the Dog food was still there...

the luckiest place to live would have to be Ireland

as they don't have any snakes...
or bobcats, or cougars, or scorpions... etc..

When I lived in Prescott we came out one morning and found big foot prints from a mountain lion like that next to our front door. Even though they sound scary, I miss those bugs and animals.
