Getback

I just read a reply you made to a post below called "choke trouble" and it made me curious about something.

I noticed as you said that when the choke is cold you press the gas pedal once to move the choke fully closed. When I do that the choke goes to the highest step as it should. However, as soon as I press the pedal again it moves about halfway down the notches and of course that makes the engine falter. Does it sound like the choke needs adjusting? Or am I doing something I shouldn't?

Yes your automatic choke needs adjusting....

Its just a basic item with a bi metal coil that heats up when the ignition is turned on... so even if You don't start Your engine but turn the ignition on.... the auto choke will heat up....

just loosen the 3 screws and turn the auto choke around until the screw sits on the step and the engine starts correctly etc...

Sometimes the choke will need adjusting in the summer and winter....
