Hi Wayne,

i believe the DKW was made in Germany, and it was taken over by Auto Union...  which ended up being Audi....

so its related... I don't know what engine they used...

there is a similar looking German made truck from the early fifties that had the VW engine sitting behind the front seat...

there are a few samples of these being restored in Australia....

I just can't remember what they were called....

it will come to me....

Well the name of the small truck hasn't popped up yet and i can't find a pic of it.. I'm sure i took one...

DKW was bought from Daimler Benz by Volkswagen in 1965, they replaced the three cylinder engine with a Daimler Benz designed 4 cylinder engine and renamed the DKW 102 car the AUDI....

it was already front wheel drive...

DKW made a small front wheel drive two stroke car that looked exactly like a small version of the 1957 Thunderbird... they made this car until 1965

only 5000 were sold as it cost double the price of a VW beetle...

I've searched but cannot find anything about a DKW or Auto Union truck...
