is there a way  to make the dowels larger to fit inside the holes that have been oval ed between the clutch and the crankshaft, from main bolt not being torque to spec's.   Sorry about my explanation but I was not sure how to write this down. hopefully some one will understand my situation and be able to give me a suggestion that wont cost me a bundle....thanks

If your crank is stock and only has 4 dowels take it in to a VW shop and have them add 4 more. This is what they do to performance cranks (have to have the flywheel drilled also) but... Check the end of the crank and the flywheel mating surface if it was moving enough to wallow the dowel holes more than likely it has damaged this area also. It can be fixed but it is a trip to a machine shop.
