E.C.U.= Electronic control unit. It's an F.I. thing.

Try MidAmerica Motorworks, I believe I recall seeing them in their catalog. I know they sell some F.I. stuff at least. There should be a banner at the top of the forums page to click on.

Flash - a control unit is a computer that tells the Fuel injection what to do. It's located in the rear luggage compartment in SuperBeetles (75-79). I'm still trouble shooting, and I now know that my ECU (control unit) is good, as well as my double relay, but What I thought to was backfiring is actually coming from the Air regulator. I'm adjusting the idle speed, but now the car would idle. I just have to wait to take it to an expert.... after I replace the Aux air regulator
