Now I've got another problem.  Now I'm getting a loud clunk in the passenger side whever I go over a mild bump.  I've installed new shocks, tie rods, & struts.  I don't see anything loose.  Any thing I should check?

Yes,

Sounds like ball joints....

a shame after completing all that work on Your beloved beetle...

It took a 20 ton hydraulic press to take my originals out....

I hope yours are easier....

The new shocks are probably making them work harder....

Best of luck

I had them checked and they were ok.  I'm at a total loss.  I guess it's going in the shop again!

Are the strut bolts tight enough?

I have the same problem on the passenger side rear wheel when I go over mild bumps.  I checked the shock bolts and they are torqued down.  I have pulled and pushed all the other parts and none of them moved.  Let me know if you find out what it is.
