To start, along with my Bug, I also own a 1986 Camaro.  I've got two sets of extra seats for the Camaro, has anyone ever tried puting third gen camaro seats in a bug??  I took some measurements last night and I think they'll fit.  I've got an idea on how to mount them, just wondering if anyone has tried it and how it looked.

The most common seat that I see in modified Beetle is from the first generation Honda Prelude. If those seats look sporty and that's the look you're going for...go for it!

Yes,

Honda seats are also common down here... in beetles...

You will need to measure carefully when You are welding the seat bases

as there isn't much room between the heater levers and the door arm rest...

I have 1302S Beetle seats in My 68 Beetle and My Son changed the runners etc...

but if they were an inch wider, I wouldn't be able to either close the door or pull the heater levers up....

I can't close the doors with the seats forward...

which is something you could do, many years ago....

If the Camaro seats are any wider than seats from the Super beetles...

then I would say they are too wide....

unless You don't want to use the heater levers etc.....

its a tight fit...

best of Luck

and have a Merry safe Christmas...
