I replaced my fuel injected style muffler today.  The old one had rusted through just about everywhere it possibly could.  I've owned the car a few months and just got around to this job.

The car seems to have more power and runs smoother.   Is this just my mind playing tricks on me or would replacing a swiss cheese muffler add enough back pressure to make the engine run significantly better???

Mine definitely didn't like the leaks.  It seems to have quite a bit more power and accelerates much smoother.  Not to mention the fact that it is much quieter now.
